A Plastics Design and Manufacturing Unit (PDMU) has been established
to help companies and individuals take their ideas for a new product,
process or material change all the way through the various stages
of research, design, prototyping, pilot tooling, pilot production
and, finally, commercial production - at low cost.
The Process Development and Competitivity Unit (PDCU) was formed
to implement product and process improvements within factories in
the North West in order to increase competitivity. |
